{sweet baby blue baby announcements}

Rachelle from Wiley Valentine sent over these sweet little birth announcements that she recently designed for photographer Braedon Flynn – I'm warning you now to brace yourself for some serious cuteness:

The typography details on the envelope and sweet blue ribbon are beautiful additional touches to an already lovely birth announcement – and I guess having such an adorable subject doesn't exactly hurt either.  Thanks so much Rachelle!

Circus-Inspired Baby Announcements

Rachelle from Wiley Valentine recently sent over these custom baby announcements inspired by a popcorn bag from Trader Joe's – and not only are they ridiculously adorable, but I love how they show that great design can be inspired from even the most ordinary of objects.

I absolutely adore the pink stripes and circus-inspired details.  The ladies at Wiley Valentine liked the result so much, they've added it to their permanent portfolio – available for both baby announcements and wedding invitations.  This design reminds me of Adam and Hallie's carnival-inspired wedding, don't you think?

Kangaroo Baby Announcements and Passport Wedding Invitations

Rachel from Jolie Jolie found these adorable letterpress kangaroo baby announcements from designer and illustrator Chris Rooney:

Which in turn led me to these passport-inspired letterpress wedding invitations:

And I love them both!  The baby announcements are just ridiculously adorable – I love the contrast stitching detail in the pocket – and the passport wedding invitations are equally fabulous.  Both by Looney Rooney – check out more of the portfolio right here.

{sweet + simple moving announcements}

Emily from Peach and Pearl created these announcements for her own recent move - and I'm loving that she made them using recycled cardboard and striped baker's twine:

{absolutely awesome baby announcements}

I think this birth announcement might be the coolest I've ever seen:

The announcement was designed by the parents, Tosh and Victoria Brown, and letterpress printed in four spot colors on Crane Lettra paper by The Mandate Press.  The overall design kind of reminds me of The Royal Tennenbaums, don't you think?  Either way, I just love the simple, yet completely non-traditional and unique, design of this baby announcement.

{graduation announcements}

Aren't these graduation announcements from duet letterpress just absolutely lovely?

 

I love the gray + yellow color palette and the hand drawn tassel detail - and how cute is it that the word "finally!" is printed next to the tassel?  Love it.  Check out more over at duet letterpress here and here.

{moving announcements - duet letterpress}

It seems like summer is always moving season here in DC.  Whether it's recently-graduated college students moving out and on to new jobs and new cities, Capitol Hill staffers moving into or out of the city, or diplomats moving overseas for new assignments or back to DC after a few years' absence, there's always a moving truck making its way up or down our narrow residential streets.  So, in the spirit of moving season, I was absolutely thrilled to find these lovely moving announcement cards from duet letterpress:

Duet letterpress will take a photo of your new house and turn it into a custom drawing, which will then be included with your custom announcements:

Cheree Berry - Part 3, Custom Portfolio

I have a few more of Cheree’s lovely designs to share with you today, this time focusing on the Cheree Berry custom portfolio. 

During the custom design process, particularly for wedding invitations, Cheree looks for inspiration in the details provided by the client, such as photos of the wedding dress or flowers, story of how the bride and goom met, or even the wedding location.  Cheree works with her clients to pull all these details together into a wedding invitation that uniquely reflects the client's style.

In addition to custom wedding invitations, Cheree also offers custom baby announcements, social invitations, and personal stationery:
